We at Hamilton + Aitken Architects want to thank our LGBTQ+ clients, friends, and staff for your continued support over the past 29 years.
One of the earliest projects H+AA completed was the design of what at the time was the largest AIDS hospice west of New York, Leland House. Built on a shoestring budget, this converted medical office building continues to provide shelter and long-term care for people suffering from HIV/AIDS, primarily dually-diagnosed and formerly homeless patients.
Another early project was converting a residence into a youth center for LYRIC, which provides services to LGBTQ+ and questioning youth. Currently, H+AA is helping LYRIC to expand its facility, which offers a homelike setting for youth advocacy, health and wellness, leadership training, and other support for youth 24 and under.
We pride ourselves in what we do together as a community!
