Thomas Lawrence AIA promoted to Associate Principal

As Associate Principal, Thomas Lawrence AIA leads our firm’s design team at the San Francisco International Airport. Since 2008, H+AA has worked with Gensler to renovate passenger terminals at SFO. The vision to enhance passenger experience began with the renovation of Terminal 2, followed by Terminal 3 East Boarding Area E and Checkpoint. Currently the design to renovate Terminal 1C is under construction, and Thomas is one of the lead architects overseeing the work for the Gensler / H+AA design team.

Since joining H+AA in 2010, Thomas has led design teams for the modernization of Hilltop High School and the reconstruction of iconic Mission Dolores Park in San Francisco, as well as construction of the Burlingame Intermediate School Classroom Building. He has led the H+AA team at SFO since 2012, working on the design to modernize SFO’s Terminal 3 East, Boarding Area E, and Terminal 1C.

Thomas holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Penn State University.

Edward To AIA promoted to Senior Associate

Edward To AIA LEED AP BD+C has been promoted to Senior Associate at Hamilton + Aitken Architects. As Senior Associate, Edward manages our community college design teams, and assists in our firm’s marketing efforts to educational and institutional clients. Since joining H+AA in 2013, Edward has served on the design team for San Francisco International Airport’s Terminal 3, led the design team for the James Lick Middle School modernization for San Francisco Unified School District, and led our design team for projects at SFO, including the International Terminal Holdroom Prototype, the Communication Center, as well as serving on the Terminal 1C design team. He is currently leading the design teams for ongoing projects at City College of San Francisco.

Edward holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Hawa’ii.

Amy Fisher AIA promoted to Senior Associate

Amy Fisher AIA LEED AP BD+C has been promoted to Senior Associate at Hamilton + Aitken Architects. Currently Amy leads the design team for modernizing AP Gianinni Middle School, one of the largest middle schools in San Francisco Unified School District. Since she joined H+AA in 2014, she has worked on the design team for the Burlingame Intermediate School Classroom Building, led the conceptual design effort for two new classroom wings in Burlingame School District, and assisted in the design of a new campus for Mare Island Technology Academy. She returned to her alma mater to lead the design for the renovation of Wheeler Hall Auditorium, the largest fixed-seat lecture hall at UC Berkeley.

Amy is a graduate of University of California, Berkeley School of Architecture, and holds a Masters Degree in Architecture from University of Oregon.
