Francisco Vargas – Designer

Growing up in a small town in Mexico and starting over in a new and larger city in California filled him with wonder and a desire to explore and learn about the environment we live in. Surrounded by nature he had the opportunity to explore much of the Pacific Northwest and its many breathtaking parks. Francisco began to work with forestry groups, lumber and CMU companies, which helped him gain his passion for architecture; seeing what a well-designed space no matter the scale can do for an individual and a community. He strives to work on architecture that provides for the users needs and creates a dialog between the users and the environment. He wants to design spaces that create unique experiences and inspire reactions from people.

Prior to joining H+AA, I worked for an architecture firm in Portland.
