Anna Liu – Designer/Teacher
Anna Liu brings experience teaching high school and an understanding of the vital role the learning environment plays in a child’s education to her work designing schools.
She focused her architecture studies at the University of Oregon on educational facility design and how to create spaces for learning that are inviting, student-centered and sustainable. When working on modernizations or new school facilities, such as the new classroom building for Burlingame Intermediate School, she brings knowledge of sustainable design principles and the day-to-day workings of the classroom.
Prior to studying architecture, Anna taught English, ELD and AVID in public high school. She believes, like education, thoughtful design that responds to users’ needs can transform people’s lives by allowing them to imagine and realize their true potential.
